You do not need any…
This workshop emphasizes inclusion, respect, and mutual care. It’s designed for those who feel comfortable participating in a diverse, inclusive, and respectful community.
This Workshop Is For You If…
This Workshop Is Not For You If…
Are you offering this workshop at another time?
If you're really interested, sign up for this one. The next workshop is currently scheduled for January 14, 2027.
Do I need to be an artist already?
No. Curiosity is enough.
What if I miss a week?
Life happens. You don’t need to be “caught up” to continue — each session stands on its own. While sessions aren’t recorded, you’ll receive a weekly reflection email to help you stay connected if you miss one.
Is sharing required?
Sharing is encouraged, but listening is also participation.
Is this group therapy?
No, this is not therapy. It’s a creative practice workshop held in community.
Are you authorized to teach this course?
The author of the book Julia Cameron's says “anyone can teach the course” and there are no “accredited” Artist’s Way teachers. Anyone who feels “called” to teach an Artist's Way Workshop can do so.
Why are you teaching this class?
My life has been profoundly impacted by Julia Cameron's book, and I want to offer a guided experience, so more people can benefit from its simple yet powerful tools.
Where are the proceeds from the class going?
My self-funded indie music label East Broad Records and the Creative Comeback Club will receive the proceeds. East Broad Records helps artists 50 and beyond fulfill their lifelong dreams of recording and releasing their music to the world. The Creative Comeback Club is a new membership-based community that meets weekly to help people cultivate a consistent creative practice.
You will be guided by Whit Whitley, an artist, creative mentor, and experienced teacher:
Whit is the founder of East Broad Records and Start Smart Now. Whit has an artist studio in Long Beach, California with their partner Sam and cat Bruno.
East Broad Records is a grassroots operation that Whit started 5 years ago to help artists later-in-life, especially over the age of 50, release their music to fulfill a lifelong dream. So far we've released 8 albums and counting by artists over the age of 50. The proceeds from this workshop will help make more dreams come true!
I will email you back right away!
